I'm trying to better understand well production and whether or not it can be controlled/throttled.  Specifically, I've noticed a recent (significant) reduction in oil production while gas seems to be remaining steady.  Can oil production be throttled in an attempt to wait for better market pricing or is this the beginning of the end for this well?

As I understand things 'throttling' is s.o.p. / a tool used as desired by the 'owner / operator' of the well. My guess is that it's (primarily) a way for the 'BIG BOYS'  to ' market manage'. Just my humble opinion here.

Thinking most are too disgusted to follow after reading the many landowner complaints about sour deals. Things have been pretty quiet on this site for a long time. Just the way I'm interpreting things in general. Good luck to all of us.

Yes they can throttle the well by changing the choke size which will limit the out put of the well
