You received a notice letter for alternate unit well spacing. This is not a well permit. Spacing approval is effective indefinitely and does not include a time limit to drill. The company will get well permits when they plan to place those wells on the drilling schedule. Mineral owners do not get notice letters for well permits. You can look them up on the state O&G database. It is common for companies to follow through and drill wells that they get spacing approval for but the question is, when?
We have been contacted by the current oil company which is Indigo. There are documents from Texas that are coming to me in California that I need to read. I do know they are in the process of drilling 3 wells in our section in that Parrish.
bma245, you refer to a "mineral deed". That would be a sale of your minerals or royalty rights. Be careful.
kathy, there are two Indigo drilling entities. Indigo Minerals drills Cotton Valley wells and Indigo Haynesville drills Haynesville wells under a joint venture with investors. How do you know that Indigo is in the process of drilling 3 wells in your section?
