Joseph, they offered 100 an acre up front for a 5 yr renewal on 10 acres.
Lease was an old (2000) Clinton lease, originally I believe I signed with Cgas out of Hartford Ohio if my memory serves me.
Needless to say, but I refused the offer.
Off to dinner. More later.
hi Joseph-Ohio,i have some info, you might understand for sure more than me.im in trumbull co,phalanx mills and305,moutaineer bought our( hbp) well. leased all plays,i see through Fracmapper portage co,this co is planning pipeline, also picked up more propity in geauga co.when i signed they just finnised there silicasand well portage co.they had a land co,doing there leases, first reserve,in our discussions they first reserve were talkitive about there meeting in pittburg, and said these wells should pay app.150 times the clinton,i did ask the moutaineer rep about it he was clearly pissed they said somthing, with all the data gathered at portage, my question, could they be everst secret partner?,they also sold (EOG) the clinton formation all around me,they were clearly real happy with the portage well, said they planned to drill near new southington school and Chalkers auction first, for socalled goat pasture?12.5 no inhansment, and gave me the well.i dont know ,maby it can help you thanx.all this took place 2 yr now, but they forsure found somthing.. sorry about my computer skills.
Thank you for your advice / info.; we appreciate any and all info. we receive.
Have not heard from any land co. ourselves up here in Ashtabula County.
First Reserve is a new name to us, however we've of course heard of Mountaineer.
Regarding Mountaineer being a secret partner with Enervest : I think any thing is possible. I've heard Enervest, Chesapeake and Halcon are all looking for Joint Ventures. We just heard Halcon after announcing they want to sell their position in the north turned around 180 degrees and bought at least three wells (and who knows what else) from BP in Trumbull Co. (which of course you also know about). Looks to me like anything goes / can happen as there appears to be a lot of horse trading going on.
Write anytime and keep reading the posts on GMS.
Thanks for the info. once again.
I clicked on the link and it tells me to wait..... so I am waiting. HA HA ... Thank you again for all your information. I have MUCH... to learn ! God Bless....
Glad to meet you!!
Good morning from Houston, TX.
I am gun shy of social media. I'm not even on Facebook. Notwithstanding that, I appreciate your interest in what I have to say and I've always enjoyed your comments. I joined GMS because I saw the need to help landowners understand the oil & gas business, which has an arcane vocabulary and business practices that don't exist in any other industry.
Have a great day Mr. Joe.
Glad to meet you. I am a semi-retired geologist and landowner in Monroe County Ohio.
